A Plastic Decoder-Ring for the "Mystery" of Obama

Some progressives are puzzled by Obama's plan to stimulate the economy by cutting taxes for corporations.

This is the kind of "mystery" you can solve with the plastic decoder-ring from a box of Crackerjacks.

Yesterday: When Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minn) supported warrantless wiretapping, one of his constituents wrote a nasty letter about it to the local paper. Walz mentioned it to Rahm Emanuel, and Rahm said "That's a good letter. Makes you look bipartisan."

Today: "Hey, Rahm! Progressives hate my stimulus plan"

"That's good, Barack. Makes you look bipartisan."

"And the rubes totally love you!"

"But don't they understand that my foreign policy is "Israel, right or wrong!" and my economic stimulus is just a joke?

"No."

What's that "trickling down" on me? (0.00 / 0)
From http://tpmelectioncentral.talk...

"Democratic senators are still emerging from their closed-door briefing with Obama economic adviser Larry Summers ... but a senior Democratic senator, Iowa progressive Tom Harkin, just gave me a dire buzzword: trickle-down.

"There's only one thing we've got to do in this stimulus, and that's create jobs," Harkin told me. "I'm a little concerned by the way Mr. Summers and others are going on this ... it still looks a little more to me like trickle-down."

And every time I hear about trickle-down economics, it sounds like somebody is standing on a balcony and pissing on my head!
