House Iraq vote spreadsheets

As a prelude to the upcoming hostilities, I've spreadsheeted what I hope are all the Iraq-related RCVs in the House so far this year, including votes on related special rules, previous and motions to recommit.

If I've missed any, please let me know. (It took me a little while to work out that I'd missed the infamous RC 425 - because the accompanying (crappy) description of the measures (taken from the Clerk's site by the automatic gizmo that scrapes the data therefrom) does not mention the magic word Iraq!)

There's a summary of all Iraq RCVs, a summary of non-procedural RCVs, the individual votes given by Dem reps in all RCVs, and votes given by Dem reps against the majority of their party.

If you Paste Special these spreadsheets as space-delimited text into Excel or Open Office Calc, you can start to work with them!

Erm... Don't do that. (Snafu for any sheet with more than one word per cell. I happened to try it with the only sheet it will work with! Moral there, I fancy...)

If you regular paste everything from the Google page into the spreadsheet, that does the trick. (If you look at the source code for the Google page, it looks diabolical. But evidently it does the trick: everything turns up in its proper column in the spreadsheet. You live and learn...)

(For the source of the data in the spreadsheets, follow the links at the bottom of this piece.

The votes are coded 1 for Yea, 6 for Nay, 9 for a No-Vote and 0 for Not a Member.

Thankfully, I was reminded (see below) that this is not self-evident!)

I'm unclear what the numbers mean (0.00 / 0)
in the vote columns in your individual rep spreadsheet.

You list the representative name, the district, the next several column headings are the individual roll call votes but rather than Y or N you have a number, usually 1, 6, or 9. What do those numbers mean? Thanks.

Peace,

Andrew

You mean you don't do mind-reading? (0.00 / 0)
Er...

Please see above.

And, thank you.
