eric holder is a coward (4.00 / 1)
i believe obama trotted holder out to make that outrageous statement, to provide a media firestorm, creating divides between black and white americans, to provide the msm the cover not to report on how obama was stabbing the citizen workers he promised to force a renegotiation of nafta for, in the back up in canada yesterday. obama not only told canada, europe, china, latin america, india and the rest of the world that the us of a was up for sale, just like under the bush administration, but they could count on him to grease their path, just like jorge bush. he reminded them again, that they shouldn't worry about buy america, because the only constituency obama looks to, are the corporate and foreign globalists who helped fund his way into power, reminding them, no doubt, that they need to keep the gravy train rolling. after all, he doesn't want to be broke after he's destroyed the us economy and sold all of us into slavery, he doesn't want to end up broke and a drunkard like his old man.. though if you consider other corrupt frauds like himself throughout history, chances are, obama will be considered the worst president in our history, and will end up broke and alone. his corporate owners will only fund him as long as he is profitable. once he's destroyed our country, they won't have any need for him, and he will be an embarrassment to those remaining us political leaders, and foreign leaders won't want his taint attached to them.

yes, eric holder is a coward, or am i the only one who watched him stammer through making excuses for his pushing through marc rich's pardon, and the pardon's for extremists from puerto rico who slaughtered innocent american citizens? his potential deputy ag, david ogden, who made a pile of money fighting on behalf of child pornographers, is a coward. he's claimed that those who make money molesting and exploiting children for profit should be protected by "free speech" rights... i'm sure he'd excuse buying and selling slaves as "free speech" as well, because that is what his rationale is in aid of.

obama's a coward, because he doesn't have the guts to be honest, he's a fraud. he pretended to chide holder after the fact, when it was all on his dime. obama's friend, franklin raines, he's black, in case you don't know that.. he's the one who gamed the system at fannie mae and freddie mac. he's made billions for himself, at the expense of working poor and lower middle class americans, his victims. knowing full well that raines was a con man and corrupt, obama selected him as an adviser. ron kirk, also a black man, a texas politician demands that entire swaths of the us be paved over, turned to massive freight transport systems, massive highways and freight rail systems, to serve as a system to distribute even more shipments from china and latin america. native tribal lands seized and the peoples displaced, citizens property, entire towns and cities gone. kirk wants our major highways sold to a spanish corporation that has been buying and leasing up interstate highway systems in new jersey, indiana, pennsylvania, attempting to in ohio and in other places through the south and southwest.

there are many more cowards in the obama administration. hillary today stated that we shouldn't get hung up about human rights violations in china, because our trading (translates to our debt that they hold) relationship with them is so much more important. obama's admin is filled with corrupt corporate whores, lobbyists, cowards each and every one.

robert mugabe is a coward, and a crook, so was saddam, and so is osama bin laden, so is putin, and sarkozy, and that pig angela merkel, so is the chinese government, hugo chavez, fidel castro, so was che guevara, who shot little children, when their parents wouldn't allow him to use them as a bloody sacrifice to his ego. so is the very multi-cultie un human rights organization that sought to censor the report of jody williams, a woman who exposed the full extent of the genocide in darfur, that that so called human rights body wanted to censor, because covering up for radical islamacists slaughtering and raping innocent african men, women and children is so much more important than taking a courageous stand against it.

innocent americans are being made seriously ill, some dying from contaminated peanut butter, and products containing it. other americans are being sickened and dying each time toxic medicine, food and other products are imported into our country, with the full support of corrupt democrats in congress, who have provided cover for that sham of an fda that they helped bush protect.

american citizens, their children have been made homeless and destitute when their jobs were sold out from under them, and what jobs remaining, were given to cheap foreign labor. democrats in congress ignore their attempts to have their civil, their human rights considerations honored. while these same democrats in congress take millions from the corporate interests that want to erode wage, workplace, food and product safety and environmental laws.

there are cowards in this country, but they aren't the millions and millions of good and decent, and very courageous american citizens, who happen to be black, brown and white, who keep trying to get by, to house, feed and clothe their children, try to give them a future, an education, a little bit of hope. who keep trying despite terrible odds imposed upon them by corrupt politicians, who also happen to be black, brown and white, who care more about money and expanding power than they do about the oaths of office they took to uphold the constitution, and the citizens they asked to vote for them.

obama, and his lackies, and that includes eric holder are cowards, and not deserving of any respect, and most certainly not deserving of elective or appointed office.

Thanks for your comment. (0.00 / 0)
For farmers and workers in Latin America, Ron Kirk, "the mayor of NAFTA," is very bad news, and likewise Vilsak, a gung-ho tool of agribusiness, as Secretary of Agriculture. Between them, those two hustlers can bankrupt every farm from Juarez to Tierra del Fuego.

did someone say vilsack? (4.00 / 2)
what a monsanto tool.

ive lived in la and the central valley of cal. and northern cal. and honolulu, hawaii as well.

ive seen quite a bit of racism.  and ive seen just as much cooperation between americans of different stripes.

holder needs to keep a closer eye on what he lets dribble out of his mouth.

I totally agree about Vilsak. (4.00 / 1)
There wasn't much of a reaction to this particular appointment in the liberal blogosphere, because so many other appointments were so peculiar, but now Vilsak can represent Monsanto and American agribusiness all over the world, and that's very bad news for small farmers here and in Mexico and Peru.

Holder was exactly right. (4.00 / 2)
This country has faced the problem of racism only when drug to confront it kicking and screaming.  Sure, we did away with slavery after fighting a civil war and we finally managed to end the second slavery that was Jim Crow.  But have we addressed the continuing problems that racism, institutional and otherwise, continue to plague our nation with?  Remember how President Carter was treated when he honored the legacy of a civil rights leader at her funeral by pointing to her work and stating the obvious, that the aftermath of Katrina showed there was still work to be done?  How about the whole nasty affair that was the Jena Six, something the media refused to pick up on?  The list goes on and on, and jumping on Holder for speaking the truth is just one more way of sweeping the problem under the rug-the very cowardice he talked about.  You could have used your diary to explain why Holder was wrong on the matter of race in the United States.  Instead you post a bunch of pictures of the few brave individuals among us who rose up and fought and act as if he insulted these individuals in his rather humble lament rather than the system and mindset they fought against.  Talk about pitifully naive.

Maybe not "exactly" right... (0.00 / 0)
..because his statement is simply too short for that, and can easily be misunderstood, as it shows here. But he sure started a healthy discussion with his provocation. And one thing is certain: This is much too early to pat oneself on the shoulder and to say that racism isn't a problem anymore. A simple look at the statistics of the jailed part of the population in the US should prevent anyone from becoming too self-congratulary!

Right, and there are other examples. (4.00 / 1)
Hate crimes, poverty rates, rates of poor health and access to healthcare, the number of minorities with access to a good education.  If you want a concrete example of the problem, remember after Katrina when Time magazine printed the picture of a black teenager wading through the water with sodas described as "a looter" and on the next page two white people with bread and water were described as tragic survivors finding shit to survive on.  Attacking Holder is one more example of sweeping the problem under the rug, something the racist and sexist traditional media is not only indulging in but aggressively pushing, and this little diary is just one more little grain of sand on the pile.

A picture you "can't find" in Time Magazine! (0.00 / 0)
So once upon a time there was (maybe) a picture in Time Magazine, but you don't have a link, and from that doubtful and insignificant beginning...

It's a nation of cowards!!!

Thanks for providing a lame-brained example of guilt by trivia, and now you can get back to your hobby of pissing on the graves of American soldiers and the firemen who died at the WTC.

Who ever said I "can't find" it? (0.00 / 0)
http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Co...

Now, you were saying?

Oh, while I'm at it, again, you're changing the subject.  It's not about soldiers and firemen, it's about not dealing with racism.  Boy you and Michelle Bachmann would have some...interesting...children.

Oh, but I will correct myself on one thing... (0.00 / 0)
it was the associated press...guess that little mistake undermines my whole argument....

You totally misrepresented the photographs. (0.00 / 0)
Here's what you said...

Time magazine printed the picture of a black teenager wading through the water with sodas described as "a looter" and on the next page two white people with bread and water were described as tragic survivors finding shit to survive on.

Then you link one photo from the AP and one from France-Presse that have nothing whatever to do with each other.

The AP said they labeled their photograph as "looters" because the photographer saw the subjects looting. If you're impugning the honesty of AP photographers, maybe you should offer some proof.

Agence France-Presse had a different policy, and avoided calling anybody looters, black or white.

What you presented as discriminatory treatment of the same sort of subject by the same magazine...

...was actually photographs from different agencies with different policies.

So you lied about Time Magazine, and you're apparently too stupid to understand that the link you provided only proves you're a liar.

I stand by what I said. (0.00 / 0)
There were photographs in Time as I described.  Bill Maher showed them on Real Time.  They were blogged about on Wonkette.  That was in 2005 and the link above was the best I could find.  I'm not backing down from it though because I'm right and you're wrong.

And the fact that you would say I'm lying, after you distorting the attorney general's words to make it seem like he was calling all American's cowards when what he said was that we have "too often" been a nation of cowards when it "comes to the issue of race" is pretty pathetic.

Intentional distortion is a lie. (0.00 / 0)
I guess you just can't help yourself.

I posted Holder's statement verbatim:

"Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot in things racial, we have always been, and we, I believe, continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards."

Then you cut and paste and come up with...

"...what he said was that we have "too often" been a nation of cowards when it "comes to the issue of race"

So when Holder actually says "always" you change it to "too often," and then tack another clause on the sentence to make it look a lot less categorical than "essentially a nation of cowards."

Maybe you're trying to be a spin-doctor for Obama and his friends, maybe you're too stupid to see the difference, and maybe you're just a liar.
