Heading to Austin

I just got back from a long book tour swing, thoughts about which I'll have up shortly, but wanted to let OpenLefties from Austin know I'll be heading down there this Wednesday, May 6th at 7:30 to speak at Book People, one of my favorite indie bookstores in the country (up there with Stacey's (RIP) in SF, Boulder Bookstore in Boulder, and Tattered Cover in Denver, among others). If y'all are around, come on by to hang out. I'm having some really intense discussions about the state of things in DC and around the country, particularly on banking, which I find fascinating.

Here's an idea for Mike Lux! (0.00 / 0)
Mignon Clyburn is absolutely nothing except Jim Clyburn's daughter, and yes indeed, I know she was publisher of the Coastal Times, always featured prominently in her bio, but I also know that the Coastal Times was a rag that was distributed free to area churches.

Mignon Clyburn is the poster-girl for ending net neutrality, just like her father... did I mention that her father is Jin Clyburn... and what kind of excuse are net progressives preparing even now to make when Obama totally screws all of us and gives the cable corporations and telecoms exactly what they want, like Democrats always give the telecoms whatever they want?

So here's an idea for Mike Lux:

Go get yourself arrested protesting Mignon Clyburn's appointment to the FCC!

Chain your butt to the White House gate!

Former advisor to Obama's transition team arrested in FCC protest!

What a beautiful headline!

(Sales of your book would also zoooom!)

The time is now!

Go directly to jail! Do not pass Go! Do not collect $200!

Save the internet from Mignon Clyburn!

Looking forward to ya in Austin (0.00 / 0)
It's a great excuse for me to fluff the pillows and get the house cleaned so Open Left's Adam Bink has a place to crash to help make your trip even better.

It's true (0.00 / 0)
He's even leaving German chocolates on the pillow, I'm getting the royal treatment.
