-- (Chris) The U.S. withdrawal from Iraqi cities is all the more important because General Odierno, the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, had originally said back in December "the June 30 date was the date we gave them, not vice versa." Given that we withdrew anyway, it is a positive sign that President Obama is serious about following through with the complete, no residual forces withdrawal mandated by the Status of Forces Agreement for December 31, 2011. -- (Chris) According to an ABC conducted last week, 56% of the country is willing to support a cap and trade program if it costs them $10 / month in higher electricity bills, but only 44% are willing to support cap and trade if it costs them $25 / month in higher electricity bills. While the battle is lost pretty much as soon as we start talking about prices at all, it is kind of amusing to see 12% of the country put such a specific price on their willingness to support a piece of legislation.
