The Kos diary is fabulous, but, as per the norm for any feminist diary (4.00 / 3)

there, many of the comments are positively revolting. My rape is my fault because I'm not a pacifist and vegetarian who's packing heat; it probably didn't happen because rape is very rare given that some dude has never had a female friend tell him she was raped (nevermind that I don't myself know of any rape victim who's brought her rape up with male friends, and that this particular dude certainly isn't presenting himself as a model of sensitivity;)and if my rape did happen, I asked for it because I've been stupid enough at times to walk home at three am (although, whoops, I was raped at 10 am), but we all know only men are allowed outside of the house. I realize that probably the vast majority of male Kos commentariat simply promoted the diary and shut up because the diary was damn complete in of itself, but, jeebus, the stuff that doesn't get called out over there, at least not in anything but the most mealy mouthed fashion. In what other diary could you comment with such brain dead anecdote-as-data and not get called on it?

All props and salutations to the people in that community who continue to brave the misogyny, but I rarely read the comments there. Just when I was starting to again, there was the primary.
