Here's a Quick Hit by Gray that I couldn't help but post on the front page. I'll let the idiot in question, Arlington Tennessee Mayor Russell Wiseman, speak for himself. He was mad that President Obama's Afghanistan announcement preempted Charlie Brown and wrote this on Facebook:
"Ok, so, this is total crap, we sit the kids down to watch 'The Charlie Brown Christmas Special' and our muslim president is there, what a load.....try to convince me that wasn't done on purpose. Ask the man if he believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and he will give you a 10 minute disertation (sic) about it....w...hen the answer should simply be 'yes'."
And also: "you obama people need to move to a muslim country...oh wait, that's America....pitiful."
Later, when contacted by the local paper, The Commercial Appeal, he said this: "It's ridiculous for someone to send my Facebook post....you guys are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill."
I'm sure Wiseman also thinks it's ridiculous that Gray then copied text from the Commercial Appeal story and posted it as a Quick Hit on Open Left and also ridiculous that I then posted it on the front page. And he'll also find it ridiculous if you email or retweet this item to your friends, so you better not do that. I have two other reactions to this story. 1) WTF? and 2) WTF - people still think you can post stuff to Facebook and it won't go past your "friends" (in Wiseman's case all 1,600)??
