He really is a piece of work.

Not that raising tens of millions of dollars and engaging in all kinds of other activism to elect Democrats like Alan Grayson, Donna Edwards and Sen. Merkley counts for anything.

I am seeing potential for a video remix at a Netroots Nation party next year, akin to:

Yeah, I remember this one - classic! (4.00 / 1)
Thanks for posting it for those who hadn't seen it.

[ Parent ]
you know what else does the bitching crowd do? (4.00 / 4)
vote, give money, and work gotv

Can't even stand the sound of Matthews voice. (4.00 / 3)
MUTE.

Matthews doesn't know squat about the "netroots". (4.00 / 2)
He's got some dipshit impression in his mind that's not based on any kind of first hand knowledge and he just runs with it. And whenever he says crap like that, The Village nods its collective head in agreement.

Fucking Versailles jackass.

And watch MSNBC (0.00 / 0)
Who does he think watches his show?  But he has turned me off.  I won't be watching him any longer.

I'm not sure that Tweety is a regular grown-up Democrat! (4.00 / 1)
I think he's a bubblemaker who loves to sit in his TV chair and spin. He's not interested in governing this country. He never ran for office, he's not interested in working for somebody in public office. He get his giggles from sitting in his TV chair and bitching!

Best DC Blowjob (4.00 / 2)
He gives the best "oral" head of any DC pundit.  His "oral" blowjob of Bush II landing on the carrier is the stuff of legend!

As I recall (4.00 / 2)
He just about sucked cheney's testicles out of his tube sock too.

In the meantime at WaPo... (4.00 / 1)
...rethuglican strategist Matthew Dowd has good advoce for the Dems:
"Come up with a health-care bill that draws real bipartisan support."
Whuahahaha!

As we Germans say: Ein bischen bi schadet nie - A bit of bi never hurts!

I'm thankful (4.00 / 1)
I wasn't a major player in the Carter administration.

I saw Tweety, and he was enjoying himself... (0.00 / 0)
He hates the netroots..  as much as Lieberman and Obama.

Bribery works, activism does not (0.00 / 0)
Change "respectable" to "effective" in your comment and you hit the mark. (Comment "Respectable people who try to change policy aren't called activists, they're called lobbyists and donors.")

Bribery works, activism does not. Raise money to start a Think Tank and lobbying group.

- Make donations only at times when critical issues are being debated.

- Supply Congressional home time media with short reports and opinion pieces.

- Have the Think Tank supply the media with topical studies and opinion pieces. Coming from a Think Tank with PHDs on staff makes anything "respectable."

- Start a youth indoctrination/jobs program as they do at Heritage.

- Education on the basics - and I mean basics - of the macro-economic model for national wealth building. Contrast the conservative working of this model with a progressive version.

- Create TV personas that are lovable and a little clownish but not afraid to show the love for iconic progressive heroes. The hero business has been taken over by Fox News. But keep the talking points simple and emotional, not too cerebral.

And so on.
