This week I caught up with Sen. Mark Begich at an event in DC. On video, I asked him whether he would vote for a reconciliation bill with a public option in it if it came from the House.

His response? "Yeah." Full transcript after the jump.

Here's the full transcript:

Q: Theoretically, if somehow came in as a bill with the house fix, would you vote for it?

BEGICH: Yeah. The way I look at public option, if it's part of the
reconciliation total bill, and I like it, I'll vote for it. But a public option is not, it's, uh, uh, it's not an option of do I vote for a bill or not for a bill if it's in there or not.

Q: But if it's there...?

BEGICH: I don't care.

[...]

BEGICH: It's not a deciding factor for me.

We'll put up the video later this weekend.
