NM-03: Don Wiviott Going Up on Air on Iraq

Democratic challenger Don Wiviott is using his platform as a candidate to put out an ad on Iraq in response to Petraeus's testimony.  On Saturday, Wiviott asked his supporters for questions to ask Petraeus.

This is a very smart way to use the national media environment to a candidate's advantage.  Institutionally, the DCCC would probably argue that keeping paid advertising limited until the last two months or so makes sense.

Wiviott has also endorsed the Responsible Plan (4.00 / 1)
the only candidate in New Mexico so far to have done so.

-New Mexico politics from the local perspective.

Strong Record (0.00 / 0)
Wiviott's been taking strong stands on the war since he entered the NM-03 race, and before that when he entered the race for U.S. Senate in NM way back when Domenici was still running. Once Udall decided to run for Senate, Wiviott switched to the Congressional contest in Northern NM.

Clearly one of the most important factors in his deciding to enter politics is his real and abiding belief that the war is wrong and the troops must come home at the earliest possible opportunity. He's been passionate about this from the start and has made his views plain in conversation and in his public statements. He's the real deal.
