Drinking Liberally Shot of Truth

Evidently, John McCain is not courting the Drinking Liberally vote:

Who knew that beer would be another entry in the list of things that John McCain wants to bomb? When our friends in Denver said that they wanted to hold an event to "save the ales", we thought they were just joking - who knew that they were on top of this urgent issue before anyone else saw it coming.

If you're in Denver, pay them a visit. If you're anywhere else, start hoarding your beer now.

I'll be tipping a few back tonight with the crowd in Denver, but what I want to know is this:

Does McCain support Bush's policies when it comes to drinking fermented Yak Milk?

To continue the spoonerism, I would want any beer with illmarks to be decisively vetoed.

In addition to the donations at the door, part of the price per beer ($2 per pint) goes to Environment Colorado RPC as well.  So, the more you drink, the more you help fight global warming.  Now, there's a market based solution I can drink to.  Someone let Al Gore know!

Expect more of these. (0.00 / 0)
McCain will be peppering his public speeches with more and more of these trivial verbal flubs to serve as a smokescreen for his substantive boneheadisms like Iran/Iraq, Al Qaeda/extremist, etc. The more people get used to shrugging them off as incidents of trivial "misspeaking," the less they will be willing to call him out when the mistakes matter.

I'm not sure what we can do about it, but I'm afraid pointing and laughing may play into his hands. That said, if we can't effectively fight the tactic, at least pointing and laughing is fun.
