McCain Hustle?

I've been thinking about the hit and miss structure of the McCain campaign, and his also hit and miss structure during the primary, and I am wondering if this seeming incompetence is not deliberate?  That is - like a pool hustle - is McCain feeling out the Obama camp's strengths and weaknesses in a drunken careen, only to straighten out late in the game and play serious hardball?

Am I being too paranoid?

Hmm. (0.00 / 0)
I do think that the recent shake up in the McCain campaign, bringing in Rove acolytes, means that McCain now has someone who can learn from the campaign's earlier mistakes.

John McCain thinks we haven't spent enough time in Iraq

Yeah - they are clearly shifting tactics (0.00 / 0)
right now but it still seems a little erratic.

I am hoping (against all hope) that McCain is going to pull a Guiliani.

There's nothing to be gained.

Both Obama and McCain know that one -- and only one -- of them will be President, both are running as hard as possible, raising money, organizing, etc.  Obama can't be fooled into thinking that McCain isn't trying.

It's just impossible for either campaign to be perfect all the time.
