You know you have landed a good attack on McCain when his spokespeople are visibly pissed off. This is now the case with the Obama ad on McCain not knowing how many homes he owns. Check out the McCain campaign's response (emphasis mine):
"We're delighted to have a real estate debate with Barack Obama," said spokesman Brian Rogers, adding that the press should focus on Obama's house. "It's a frickin' mansion."
"Fickin'" mansion, eh? Good that you are able to stay level headed about this, Rogers. The reason Rogers is pissed off is because this is a successful attack. The latest CBS poll shows that only 41% of the country feels they can relate to McCain, but that 55% indicate they can relate to Obama. Not to mention that McCain has been running on the notion that Obama is an out of touch, elitist celebrity. Doesn't feel too good when the tables are turned, eh?
