On October 22 of 2006 Chris posted a call to action on MyDD asking the netroots to Googlebomb vulnerable Republicans. Read the post if you want to learn more about that campaign or don't know what a Googlebomb is.
Recently there has been much talk of a "Bush Dogs" campaign here on OpenLeft with running Adwords criticizing "Bush Dogs" on voting to shred the constitution, continue the occupation of Iraq or as Matt said (insert fight here).
Well I think we should Googlebomb the Bush Dogs too. It has the same effect. But it's free.
It's just an idea but I don't see the downside. Personally I use Google to look up information about political stuff I don't know about. I always look at the results but never at the ads. But how about having both ads and Googlebombs?
It's just an idea and we need articles to use for the Googlebomb campaign. But I think we should think about it.
Also I think we should spread the Bush Dog campaign beyond Adwords and Googlebombs. If we want to make a real difference we need to use everything we can. Facebook, MySpace, BlogSpot, Wikipedia, Getting in the local press, petitions, Web Ads on YouTube. Everything.
This isn't just a matter of making the Party stronger or weeding out bad members. This is about the life and death of Iraqi's, it's about the restoration of the constitution. It's about restoring American values here and around the world.
