Via distantshore in quick hits, take these for what they are worth (read numbers as Obama-McCain):

GA 47-51
FL 52-49
IA 58-42
IN 52-48
MI 60-39
MN 56-39
MO52-48
NC 52-48
NH 57-43
NM 56-43
NV 55-45
OH 54-45
PA 57-42
VA 55-45
WV 45-55
WI 58-42

National 54-44

Remember to take your salt with these. The good news is that Obama wins even with a large, 5%-7% shift toward McCain.

Don't listen to Chris!  The exit polls are GOLD!

What's the bet?? (0.00 / 0)
I'll take it! There IS gold in them thar exit polls, GOLD I tell ya!

Based on 2004 shift these 6 points to McCain (0.00 / 0)
And clearly we are screwed.

Not so much (0.00 / 0)
We still win the Kerry states plus Iowa, New Mexico, Ohio and Virginia. That's plenty enough to win.

Ah yes, I see (0.00 / 0)
You are correct sir!

[ Parent ]
6 point shift loses VA (0.00 / 0)
which I really hope doesn't happen.

But yes, we probably squeak by.

At any rate, just 'having fun' speculating, at this point.

A combination of betting addiction, hope, and gallows humor.

What's the over/under on the exit polls?? Place your bets!! (0.00 / 0)
If you lose, you have to open your window, and shout "I love McCain!"

If you win - well, you get bragging rights.

I'm taking these with a grain of salt (0.00 / 0)
Shifting all the 52% or less ones to McCain, and adding New York, New England (except Vermont), Illinois, California, Maryland, Delaware, and DC and Obama is at 277 EV's.

We're looking good.

I just got home a few minutes ago.  Lots of people walking toward Grant Park.  Should be a heckuva party.  Wish I was going.

We can even spot 8 and win! (0.00 / 0)
Take that, foul exit polls!
