MySpace paid for me to be in New Hampshire, so I figure the least I can do is put up a thread linking  to their forum with John Edwards today.

Follow and participate live.

Video Feed Won't Load (0.00 / 0)
Too bad MTV and MySpace didn't pay for a better video feed... I have 6 Mbps DSL and while the cooling fan on my iMac is humming like mad I get no video, no sound, no nothing. Tried the MySpace page and chooseorlose.com, both have the same sucky, not-working feed.

And Edwards is doing well.  These MySpace viewers aren't all Democratic supporters, so this is a good sign.

Big thanks to Eddie for being so responsive when we at BelowBoston.com contact him.

Edwards Campaign is lucky to have him.

Totally Overrated (4.00 / 4)
Eddie is without a doubt obsessively clicking refresh on this thread to wait for responses mentioning his name.  He probably even finally got around to setting up an RSS reader to see if any other blogs had mentioned him this afternoon.

*sigh*

If we're going to talk about him, someone should write something up about his apartment in Connecticut during the Lamont campaign.  I am surprised there wasn't a federal order to preserve whatever scientific discoveries could be gleaned from the combination of old pizza boxes, McDonalds (not McDonalds wrappers, mind you ... actual McDonalds food), and kitty litter strewn about the place.

I've never shared this story with anyone outside of the Lamont campaign, but since Eddie sees this now ... I am breaking my silence, Eddie.  It was traumatic, and you never apologized.  Never!  Ever!

Tim

P.S. My hand to God: I was sleeping on his couch and I saw one of his cats stick it's paw under the coffee table and literally pull out a f'ing cheeseburger.  it might have even been an entire value meal removed, actually.

(sorry, pal - miss ya!)

But that story rules too.

Full Disclosure: I am proud to work at ActBlue.

for being the poverty fighting candidate, he performed quite poorly on this topic; he sounded unprepared. wtf?

A real discussion (0.00 / 0)
Aside from that ridiculous running commentary on instant polling, which has been a huge distraction, this forum has been tremendous. This has been a serious, thoughtful discussion on policy and philosophy and I am nothing short of appalled that a group of 20-somethings and MTV -- MTV?! -- have started this sort of conversation, while traditional news outlets have offered more than joint press conferences in the guise of "debate" and wasted hours of our time with political gossip and rumor.

But what about the all-important question of macs vs pcs?

So Chris, what's your reaction from the ground?

Thanks for the tip of this happening... (0.00 / 0)
Every time I've seen Edwards, I've been impressed. The answers he gives are from the heart. If more people could see him live and impromptu like this, I think they would understand where he's coming from. He had great answers to complex questions. But he managed to do it in a way that showed respect to the audience.

And his comment about not trying to get 100% approval because it would mean you aren't ssying much was right on. He has not wavered on these views since I saw him at YKos and before.

He showed courage by taking on the meaninglessness of GWOT and the need for all of us to sacrifice to change environmental direction and energy consumption.

Apparently bloggers can't blog from the main room (0.00 / 0)
According to Aravosis at AMERICAblog bloggers were told they can't live blog from the event room, but if they wanted to blog have to do so from a room where it is on a TV screen, yet some people from the traditional media seem to be doing live reporting from the event room.
