Here is my advice to Joe Biden. When you are nervous and preparing for a big event, just do what I do: take a nap and think of the undefeated Buffalo Bills.

Also, I would like to offer a different take on Sarah Palin from Matt: I hate her guts, and I would be lying or exaggerating if I said otherwise. I honestly and truly despise her. Her selection is a cynical, comic-book caricature of feminism. She invents attacks against her to satisfy conservative persecution lust. She is not very smart, and yet hasn't bothered studying in order to compensate for that flaw. She avoids the media while constantly whining about them, and indeed whining about any criticism of her. And despite all of the whining and invented attacks, she ended up on a major party ticket by putting in an amount of work that would make George W. Bush blush. And she tries to cover it all up with a "I'm just an average American shtick," even those average Americans are not Governors and do not make a quarter of a million dollars a year.

And that is just for starters. Natasha expresses a lot of my other complaints here and here. The whole thing reminds me of my hatred of Bush, to be honest.

That's about the only positive thing I can say about her... She wasn't born into it.

 Her stuff sounds memorized. I mean, I know it is, but it shouldn't sound that way. No gaffes, though.

 She's repeating McTalkingPoints ("by fundamentals we meant the American workers") that I thought had been abandoned for over a week.

 Biden's oddly reserved, though he's much more fluid that Palin.
