And so it turns out Reichert lied about his degree.  You can help Darcy here.

We'll see where local TV pushes this.  Reichert's out with an ad.

... I see the ad uses Emily Heffter as a source.  Thanks, Emily!

....needs to cut some direct rebuttal ads and quick.  The kind where she looks into and speaks to the camera.

Reichert has another add where he looks into the camera and talks to the viewer.  Same as I emailed you Matt a while back, he says, "She'll raise your taxes".

The 'lying' about her degree and the spectre of her raising taxes can and will sink her bid for election again.  These two narratives will result in her losing the South King County and rural Pierce County vote, same as two years ago.

If she doesn't grab hold of these two lines of narrative pushed by Dave and effectively rebut, she'll lose by 7000 votes.

She needs to say something like, "I support Barack Obama's tax plan.  NO TAX INCREASES for the middle class".

Barack is popular in her district.  She needs to tie herself to him.

I don't know (0.00 / 0)
if you've seen the Seattle Times today, but Heffter is actually writing about Reichert's resume failings today (I don't know if it's on the front page or not, but it's placed high on their website). Unfortunately, it's framed in that usual tit-for-tat "he says, she says," "we report, you decide" format. (Headline: "Burner, Reichert rumble over resumes.")

Still, I doubt we'd even be getting this half a loaf if not for the pushback we gave the original story. And at any rate, I'm sure a lot of people in the district now know something that they didn't know before today: "Dave Reichert only has an associate's degree? And it's from some school I've never heard of?"
