McCain's Prayer

McCain: Oh God, I'm in trouble here.  The Democrats put on a star pack rock show and I am looking at Bush, Chaney and an unknown who is more qualified be a beauty pageant contestant than vice president.  Why couldn't you let me have the Jew? I wanted the Jew. I thought that you would like that pick.  Anyway we are going to tank here if Bush or Chaney speak and my running mate is likely to make it clear that she does not even know where Afghanistan is.  Can you help me out here?

God: Got you covered.

God vs. America

Jeremiah Wright is a bad, bad man.  He said mean things about America, how God should punish America.  Nobody says that.

Nobody except Thomas Jefferson, Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr., Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, and John Hagee.

Yup, all sorts of people say God should (or already has) punish(ed) America.  The only difference lies in just what they think we've been doing wrong....
