I was reading a lot of the comments that people have made with respect to John Edwards and his choice to have extramarital sex. I note a humorous irony in this whole collective process that revolves around failing to appreciate exactly how imperfect we are as human beings. It occurred to me that this is an opportunity to remind ourselves exactly who should be treated with respect and decency - i.e. all of us-- and how.
