is also a tactic used by Sen. Norm Coleman. Calls himself "an independent voice for Minnesota" in his recent ads. It works two ways: moves away from the GOP of GWB and muddies the water with regard to the terms "independent" and "Independence", the latter being the name of the party that may sponsor a run by Jesse Ventura.
