maybe that's a reason some big business don't want health reform

if the workers don't fear how they'll get health insurance if they leave, it makes it harder or the business to rob them...

One of the analytical categories used by Gosta Esping-Andersen in The Three Worlds of Welfare Capitalism was "decommodification"--the degree to which labor was decommodified by severing basic security from dependence on a job.  Capitalists really hate when that happens.
