So, Obama, Can I Steal Your Car?

Because I know Republicans think the rule of law is for wusses.  And you're all about the bipartisanship.  I can see that more clearly than ever now.

So, what I want to know is, how far does it go?  Can I burn your house down?  Or do I have to content myself with smoking dope on your front lawn?

Which laws, at what times and under what circumstances get a pass?

Oh!  The same old ones as in the past?  All the laws when they are broken by the high and mighty?

Well, that certainly is a refreshing new politics.

If by "refreshing" you mean "depressing as hell" and if by "new" you mean "old as sin".

So, about stealing your car?  I guess that would be a "no"?

to know which way the wind blows.

"depressing as hell"   "old as sin"

But can't you see that Obama is smarter than us and has a double-secret plan that we can't know about until he's elected? [end sarcasm] I actually do think he's a lot smarter than me, but even smart people fuck up every now and then. I did think his performance was rather impressive today. Talk about polishing a turd! If I didn't know any better I'd think he had a reasonable position. But I do know better. There is no reason to pass this piece of shit. It's doubly disappointing because Obama has shown some willingness to take on Republican "security" bullshit head on and challenge the village consensus of undeniable Republican security awesomeness.

"depressing as hell" Indeed.

Chomsky Fever!
John McCain sucks.

It's stances like this, in addition to other statements by Obama on other issues that have made me the type of voter (0.00 / 0)
who can say I am voting against McCain rather than wholeheartedly, enthusiastically, for Obama and because I say this to the Obama supporters who have been enthusiastic all along ( I was an Edwards supporter) they truly do not grasp the lack of enthusiasm for Obama evidenced by Clinton supporters, or by  any Democrat who supported some other candidate rather than Barack Obama, - attributing it to sour grapes.

To be fair, I do not think that Cinton would have done any different in regard to this 'compromise bill' and I would be as equally as disgusted.

The 'Change" we may be getting is really called 'tweaking', or 'adjusting',.... but real "Change"?

I'm not seeing it.

I wish I was because then I'd be enthusiastic.
