I haven't seen anyone note this, but I think he deserves credit for openly wearing the dreaded L-word label:

That's Representative Robert Wexler of FL-19. This is an ad he's been running on several blogs of late. You may remember him from such roles as going along with Stephen Colbert's jokes about cocaine and prostitutes and his new book "Fire Breathing Liberal."

Actually, Colbert reviewed Wexler's book in classic form:

"I enjoyed Congressman Wexler's book even more than I enjoy cocaine and prostitutes."

So I commend him. Now we have a congress with an actual atheist (Pete Stark) and an actual liberal not afraid of the word.

Although he is in fact a "LEOI" (liberal except on Israel), as evidenced by his support for the AIPAC-pushed naval blockade of Iran.
