Another Standardized Testing Sham (jeffbinnc)
Supposedly, one of the "benefits" of testing every student every year is that educators get to see how their students did on the tests and adjust their instruction to help improve learning. Well, as this article reveals (sub required), the vast majority of educators never get an "item-by-item and school-by-school analyses" of the results. The reason?

"As they said in Watergate, follow the money." Apparently, it is either "too expensive to release the tests" or the "vendor," that is, the test maker, "prohibits it."
