There have been unexpected frustrations writing for this site. Who knew you had to be like the new hero who rides into town and shows the townspeople that you are the fastest gun in the west ... that you have to be quick on the draw or rather the keyboard. I had the idea in my title 2 days ago. Just this minute, Rachel Maddow opened her program with it (David Sirota is on this very minute enlucidating it very well).
Earlier in the day, I imagined Lucy snatching the football away in Peanuts...Lucy being the Republicans and Obama being Charlie Brown and the football the stimulus bill. Nice metaphor with the added benefit of being very true. ..Who knew that if you weren't a speed queen that Keith Olbermann would open his show with exactly that metaphor. Grrr....Arrgh!
So I don't get the the pride of being the first, but that is actually, on sober reflection,...really terrific. Why?
